Current Openings:

Senior Electronics Engineering Technician

Surface Optics Corporation has an immediate need for a senior electronics engineering technician.  Job responsibilities include:

• Re-working surface mount PC boards
• Producing prototype circuits from schematics
• Maintaining the electronics lab, keeping stock of prototyping parts and equipment
• Manufacturing cables and harnesses for prototype and deliverable instruments
• Building and re-working cases, both for pre-production and deliverable instruments
• Working with PC board manufacturers, assemblers, and component vendors to produce pre-production and production PC boards from schematics
• Maintaining bills of material for instruments being transitioned from engineering to manufacturing
• Ability to generate schematics for cables and some prototype boards is desired

Surface Optics is a small (50 person) company located in the Rancho Bernardo community of San Diego.  The desired applicant must have at least 10 years experience and work well with little supervision.  US Citizenship is required.
