SOC 700-Hz High Speed, Hyperspectral Imaging SystemsBased on Surface Optic's highly successful SOC700 Visible system, The SOC700-Hz High-Speed Hyperspectral (HS) Imager is the fastest commercial real-time HS imaging system on the market today. Out of the box, the SOC700-Hz can be used in demanding analysis, quality control and detection work either locally or over a network. Real-Time Answers ‘Real-time’ applications such as machine vision, biological screening, color quality assessment, and target detection require immediate feedback. HS imaging systems have shown promise in their ability to see slight variations in the spectral content of objects and have been used to discriminate between objects based upon spectral signatures, but until now, few systems have been able to sustain the speeds necessary to provide the immediate feedback that is required. The SOC700-Hz removes the processing bottleneck through an integrated on-board processing unit and high speed imager that can run at sustained speeds greater than 5000 lines per second. That is 50 times faster than conventional system, meeting the demands of time critical industrial applications. Specifications Comprised of a very high-speed, high sensitivity visible array, imaging spectrometer, integrated scanning system and vector processor, the SOC700-Hz can acquire and process imagery at a rate of 2.6 mega-pixels per second at 14-bit resolution. The system’s spectral response covers the visible to near-infrared spectral range from 0.4 – 1.0 microns and comes either as an imager or line scan camera.
With four programmable filters, three integration channels, on-the-fly dark frame subtraction and calibration, the system can be configured to display color, single-band or any user-specified three band sensor. The filters can be used to detect or reject with a high degree of confidence up to 4 different spectral patterns. |
