The MIDIS Processor

A single board high-speed spectral processing engine with unparalleled performance, the MIDIS Processor is designed to be the fast, affordable solution to your real-time spectral processing needs. There is no need for multi-processor architectures or banks of computers, the MIDIS processor is a compact vector processing engine with flexibility. All that's required is an open PCI slot.

Capable of processing 233 million 128-element pixels per second, the MIDIS processor can perform dark signal subtraction, calibration and atmospheric correction while at the same time, providing you with correlation results against up to 24 reference spectra. There are also three configurable integrators on-board that can be used for sensor simulation to produce true color, tristimulus, false color infrared or a duplicate of any single or three band sensor system.

MIDIS boards come in three configurations: the low cost 2-processor AW (MIDIS-PCI-AW), the latest 4 processor (MIDIS-PCI-2) and for embedded processing, the Compact PCI MIDIS (MIDIS-CPI-2).

Input/Output

The MIDIS processor supports both direct injection of the spectral signal via an LVDS interface or through the PCI bus. Raw data can be tapped off the card through a second LVDS interface. Results are obtained from the PCI-bus through DMA transfers.
