InspectIR™-SR

The InspectIR™-SR measures thickness of alodine, and anodize coatings on metals.

The principal of operation is based on optical measurements in the infrared spectral region. A specular reflectance method is utilized. As such, the measurement method eliminates needs for aggressive chemicals used traditionally in the process of evaluating thickness of alodine, and anodize coatings. It is a modern toll for engineering applications.

It is handheld, battery powered, and controlled by a PDA type computer, with a screen conveniently facing the operator.

Alodine coating is measured in the range of 15 to 70 mg/f2, anodize is measured in the range of 60 to 1500 mg/f2.

InspectIR™-GA

The InspectIR™-GA measures thickness of Sol Gel on metals such as titanium.

A similar as above optical infrared measurement is utilized, but the sampling method takes advantage of so called grazing angle effect to maximize method’s sensitivity.

Thickness of Sol Gel is measured in the range of 10 to 400 nm.
